Our mission was to match the user experience with the brand philosophy, which we accomplished by refining and enhancing user flows on their in-store iPad app, as well as giving it a new, sleek, and sensitive look and feel. We collaborated with them to add cutting-edge technology to the in-store experience and to empower their employees to provide the best possible customer service.

We worked with SugarCRM as their external design team for this project. They shared their knowledge of Audemars Piguet’s brand, history, and customer base, as well as ensuring that we had everything we needed to contribute our skills and knowledge to the solution. Other, more modern companies may have embedded RFID chips in the watches, allowing each watch to be linked to its owner. However, this would have gone against everything Audemars Piguet stood for, so we set out to create something both useful and in keeping with their particular corporate culture.

Large businesses, particularly those like Audemars Piguet, which are also family-owned and steeped in craft, tradition, and luxury, take time to change. As a result, our work has yet to be completely implemented. Having said that, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and of our collaboration with SugarCRM. We learned a lot about how to integrate modern processes into large brands and how to solve unique challenges at scale.
